Offline by default
Ritudhara works completely without the internet. On a fresh install, the app makes no connection to any server — nothing is sent, nothing is fetched, nothing is phoned home. We verify this with every release, because a promise you can't check isn't a promise.
Sealed on your phone
Everything you log — cycles, moods, symptoms, notes — is locked with strong, industry-standard protection before it's ever saved to your phone's storage. If someone somehow got hold of the raw files, they would see meaningless scrambled data, not your life.
Your key never leaves your phone
The key that unlocks your data is created on your device, protected by your PIN and your phone's own built-in secure hardware, and it never travels anywhere — not to us, not to anyone. It exists only while you're using the app, and vanishes when you're done.
Cloud Locker — a box even we can't open (Dharini)
If you choose backup, your data is sealed on your device before it travels. What reaches our servers is a locked box — and we never have the key. If a court, a company, or a criminal asked us for your data, the honest answer is the same: we can't read it.
Tamper-proof consent
When you agree to something in Ritudhara, we create a permanent record of exactly what you agreed to — one that can never be quietly rewritten, by us or anyone else. You can verify it from the app any time. Consent that can be edited after the fact isn't consent.

Does Ritudhara store my data in the cloud?
No, by default. All data stays encrypted on your device unless you opt in to Cloud Locker.
Can Mahakarshan read my health data?
No. The key that unlocks your data never leaves your device — not even with Cloud Locker enabled.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Cloud Locker (Dharini) lets you restore your data with your key. Without it, on-device data cannot be recovered.
What is the consent proof?
A permanent, tamper-proof record of exactly what you agreed to — verifiable by you any time, changeable by no one, including us.
