Ritudhara ("we", "us", "Mahakarshan") built this app so that your most personal data — your cycle, your moods, your notes — stays exactly where it belongs: with you. This policy explains what we collect, where it lives, and the rights you always retain over it.
What we collect
By default, Ritudhara collects only what it needs to function on your device:
- A nickname you choose (never your real name or an email, unless you provide one for support)
- Cycle and period dates you log
- Mood, symptom, and free-text notes you log
- Your language preference
No location, contacts, or device identifiers are collected by default.
Where it's stored
All health data is encrypted at rest on your device using strong, industry-standard protection. Nothing is transmitted anywhere unless you explicitly opt in to Cloud Locker (Dharini), our end-to-end encrypted backup. When you do, your data is sealed on your device before it ever reaches our servers — we receive only data we cannot read.
Who can access your data
Only you. Mahakarshan cannot decrypt your health data, with or without Cloud Locker enabled. The encryption key never leaves your device.
Website analytics
This website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-respecting analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for the website to function. No tracking or advertising cookies are set.
Your rights
You may at any time:
- Access the data stored in your app
- Correct or delete any entry directly in the app
- Export your data
- Request deletion of any Cloud Locker data — processed within 72 hours of request
Data retention
On-device data is retained until you delete it or uninstall the app. Cloud Locker data is retained until you request deletion, which we process server-side within 72 hours.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
